L’apprenti.e 3 EN • Making a coffee table
New version
Essential woodworking techniques
This course’s objective is to consolidate all the basic knowledge seen in the first two machine tool classes and to push further your exploration of solid woodworking by making a table. You will prepare the wood and learn how to make a solid wood panel, meaning several wood planks glued together to create a large wood section for the tabletop.
You will also learn how to make tapered legs for the table, tenon and mortise assemblies and a curved surface to give the tabletop it’s oval shape. To put these notions to use, each participant will make their own red oak coffee table.
