Le sur mesure EN • Designing built-in storage
Custom design
This course will introduce you to the basics of built-in wall units. Using the premise of a wall niche (a recessed cavity in a wall allowing the integration of decorative or functional elements), you will learn how to design a custom integrated wall unit. You will consider the particularities of an existing space, such as specific measurements, and irregular or uneven walls.
You will explore conceptual, technical and practical development, creating a project to be installed in an existing wall recess. To put the learning material into practice, each person will produce technical drawings and maquette at 1 or ¼ scale.
